1. Natural Rose Rooting Hormone: Rice Water Base
The rose recovery journey begins with the most important step. Preparing a natural rooting hormone solution.
First, soak 3 tablespoons of rice in 300 ml of clean water for 6 to 8 hours.

Natural Rose Rooting Hormone: Garlic, Lemon, Aloe
Use three cloves of garlic. Peel and chop. You can use fresh or dried garlic.
Garlic helps disinfect cuts and has natural antibacterial properties that protect the stem from harmful fungi and bacteria. This gives your roses a better environment to root and grow healthily.
Add one lemon. Squeeze the juice and pour it into the prepared garlic bowl. Lemon juice helps balance pH and is antibacterial, creating a good environment for rose plants to quickly take root and grow healthily.
Add about one teaspoon of aloe vera gel to the garlic and lemon juice mixture. Peel the aloe vera, taking only the white gel inside. Aloe vera moisturizes, provides natural vitamins, and stimulates the rooting process.
Together, garlic, lemon, and aloe vera create an antibacterial solution that balances pH, hydrates, and stimulates roses to grow roots quickly and healthily.
Add 150 ml of filtered water to dilute the mixture. Water creates a balanced environment for nutrients to penetrate the flower branches. Let the mixture rest for about 10 minutes.

2. Prepare Cuttings for Natural Rose Rooting Hormone
While the rooting solution settles, prepare the cuttings. This step helps roses root easily and grow healthy.
Choose healthy branches free of pests and diseases. Not too young or too old to ensure the highest rooting rate.
Remove thorns and excess leaves to reduce the risk of dehydration and limit fungal growth. Gently prune leaves near the leaf node where new shoots will develop to help concentrate nutrients to the roots and new shoots.
Cut the branch at a 45° angle to increase the contact area with the rooting hormone solution while helping the plant absorb nutrients more easily.
Gently rub a clove of garlic into the cut to disinfect and protect the cut from bacteria, helping to stimulate better rooting.
Cover the top of the cutting with a little candle wax to retain moisture and prevent water vapor from escaping. This keeps the cuttings from drying out during the rooting process.
3. Mix and Soak – Natural Rose Rooting Hormone
After soaking, filter out the residue and mix the rice water with the garlic, aloe vera, and lemon mixture. Filtering out the residue makes the solution clearer, easier to absorb, and helps prevent rot during soaking.
Rice water, garlic, lemon, and aloe vera make a complete rooting solution. Natural, safe, and effective. It disinfects, hydrates, and promotes rapid rooting.
Gently place the base of the rose branch in the solution and soak for about 4 to 6 hours. Soaking helps nutrients penetrate the cut, stimulating faster and stronger root formation.

4. Planting Setup with Natural Rose Rooting Hormone
I use sand as the growing medium. Sand drains well, helps the branches avoid waterlogging, and limits fungus during rooting.
Fill a plastic cup with sand and moisten it evenly with the newly mixed rooting solution. This helps the cuttings receive nutrients right from the start.
Gently insert the rose stem into the sand cup, making sure the leaf node faces out where new leaf buds will develop. Cover the cup tightly with a lid to retain moisture and create an ideal environment for the cuttings. Place the cup in soft light away from direct sunlight to prevent wilting.
Check humidity regularly and mist as needed to keep cuttings hydrated enough to develop healthy roots.
5. Rooting Timeline and Signs – Natural Rose Rooting Hormone
After about 7 to 14 days, you should see roots begin to grow. Timing varies with environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity.
Small white roots emerge from the base of the cutting. A clear sign that the plant is growing healthily.
At the same time, new shoots begin to sprout at the leaf nodes, signaling new life is reviving.

Once the roots have developed healthily and the shoots have grown evenly, transfer the cutting to a larger pot to provide optimal growing space.
